Down 3-nil to the Gators just before intermission, Southampton Academy senior Seth Edwards found the back of the net to give the Raiders momentum. Junior Emery Weist, son of head coach Jamie Weist, scored following the break to cut the lead to one, and sophomore Mitchell Owens — off of a cross from freshman Noah Shaffer — finished over the head of the keeper to tie the match. After a brief overtime period, the teams walked away with a 3-3 draw.

The roles were reversed on Monday evening, as the Raiders played host to the rival Chargers. It was the second meeting of the season between the two clubs.

Southampton Academy took an early 1-0 lead on a goal by Seth Edwards, his 11th of the season. Isle of Wight’s Justin Cobb tied it on a header just minutes later, however. Neither team scored in the overtime period.
