The season tip-off featured four teams, including the newly constructed “Dream Team.”

The Dream Team, featuring a mixture of law enforcement officers and community leaders, blew out the Panthers, 66-28.

Chris Hearn scored 14 points to lead the Dream Team, while Ashley Lee paced the Panthers with 11 points.

The second game was a highly contested matchup between the North Carolina Fire and the hometown Rockets. The Rockets kept it close throughout, but the Fire led wire-to-wire for the 78-70 win.

L. Monyer dropped 21 points for the Fire, while Will Doyle pitched in a league-high 27 points for the Rockets.

The league will continue play every Thursday night at Franklin High School. Games begin at 8 p.m.
