ISLE OF WIGHT
Isle of Wight quarterback Bryce Casey has been named the Western Tidewater Player of the Week after throwing three touchdowns to lead the No. 1 ranked Chargers past Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot on Friday evening. The senior signal caller completed all five of his pass attempts for 157 yards to finish with a season-high 177.1 quarterback rating.

Casey webThis marks the second time in three weeks that Casey has captured the honor after throwing three touchdowns in a win over Broadwater Academy on Oct. 10, making him the first to be named twice. Isle of Wight running backs Donald King and Alec Edwards have also garnered player of the week honors this season for their efforts on Sept. 4 and Sept. 25, respectively.

Honorable mention for the Western Tidewater Player of the Week includes Edwards, who scored two in the aforementioned win; Franklin running back Quayshawn Jefferson, who accounted for 187 yards rushing in the Broncos’ loss to Greensville; and Southampton running back Harrison Ehrenzeller, who scored three touchdowns and helped the Indians amass 397 yards of total offense in a win over Windsor.
