“It’s a great experience [to be named player of the week],” the senior signal caller said. “The play calling and my teammates were a big help.”

Reid scampered for 154 yards in the team’s first win of the season, highlighted by a 15-yard scramble to get the Dukes on the board first.

“We finally put together a good game,” Reid said.

Windsor looks to win its second-consecutive game when the Brunswick Bulldogs come to town on Friday in The Tidewater News’ Game of the Week.

“They’re a tough team,” Reid said. “We can be successful if we play as well as we did on Friday.”

Honorable mention for Western Tidewater’s Player of the Week includes Franklin running back Quayshaun Jefferson, who rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Charles City; Isle of Wight quarterback Bryce Casey, who was a perfect 6-for-6 for 165 yards and three touchdowns passing in a win over Brunswick; and Southampton H-back Tyrik Mason, who ran for 95 yards and a touchdown in a loss to Colonial Heights.
