FRANKLIN
Buck Bryant, 75, of Franklin, shot his age for the third time at the Cypress Cove Country Club on Thursday.
A rare event, “shooting your age” occurs when a golf player finishes their game with a score that exactly matches their age.
“This is fairly remarkable in golf,” said Danny Morgan, spokesman for the country club. “Not many people do that. It’s probably even rarer than a hole in one.”
Bryant says that the first time he shot his age he was 70 and again at 73.
“It’s hard to do, but I got lucky and did it,” he said.
Bryant has been a member of the country club since the early 1960s.
