WINDSOR
Six Windsor High School students recently signed with six different colleges to participate in different programs at the next level.

At a pep rally to honor the athletes, Lindsay Ball, Malcolm Greene, Daniel Klausmeier, Courtney Morrill, Lance Sexton and Morgan Whitley all committed to schools near — and in the case of Klausmeier, far.

• Ball participated in forensics, a VHSL activity, and will be doing the same at Liberty University in Lynchburg. She had also played volleyball in high school.

• Greene will attend the Newport News Apprentice School and play football. In high school, the wide receiver had also been on the basketball and track teams.

• Tennis will be in the future of Klausmeier, and he will be on the courts at Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska. Daniel is the No. 1 player on the Dukes tennis team, and he plays doubles with his brother, Derek.

• Morrill will be on the equestrian team at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. She had been on the volleyball team.

• Sexton, star catcher for the Dukes, will play baseball on the next level at Randolph Macon College in Ashland.

• Whitley, infielder for the Lady Dukes, will play softball at the next level at Richard Bland College in Petersburg.

The students will all be recipients of athletic and academic assistance.
