SOUTH HILL
Franklin High School’s Taciona Smith, Katlyn Woolfolk and Elyaisha Harris were all able to record hits in the Lady Broncos softball squad’s 16-0 loss in South Hill against the Park View Lady Dragons.

This past Thursday, the Broncos were able to find some offense, but still came up short to the Lady Tigers of Sussex High School, 27-12.

The Broncos returned to action on Tuesday against the Lady Bulldogs of Brunswick High School, and lost 15-0.

Woolfolk made a tag at home on a runner trying to steal. Karissa Schuermann contributed to a double play, catching an infield fly at the mound and throwing the runner out at first base who did not tag up.

The Broncos are 0-12 on the season with three games remaining on schedule and one that could be made up against Charles City. On Thursday, they were set to play at Windsor against the Lady Dukes in a game that concluded after deadline.

Next week on Tuesday and Thursday, they will host the Southampton Lady Indians and Greensville County Lady Eagles.
