The Southampton Academy Raiders travelled to Brunswick Academy on Thursday for a conference matchup and improved to 3-2 in the Virginia Commonwealth Conference with an 8-2 win. Colby Blythe, Mary Hudgins and Justin Holland had two goals each, and Seth Edwards and Emery Weist each finished with one goal.

Blythe scored both goals from the sweeper position on direct kicks. Weist also finished the game with two assists.

The Raiders had a home scrimmage against the Beach Breakers homeschool team on Friday, in a game that concluded after deadline. They travel to Isle of Wight Academy on Monday with a 4 p.m. start time for the junior varsity game, with varsity beginning afterward.
