After losing the first three games of the season by a combined total of six runs, the Southampton softball team made sure its first win of the year was never in doubt. Freshman pitcher Kelby Lewis pitched a complete-game one-hitter against Brunswick on Tuesday, as the Lady Indians run-ruled the Bulldogs, 13-0.

Lewis was a catalyst at the plate as well, going 4 for 4 with three base hits and a double. Freshmen Allie Holt and Stranisha Darden went 1 for 2 and 2 for 4, respectively, in the win.

Southampton (1-3) traveled to South View on Thursday night to take on the Park View Dragons. Results of the game were not available at deadline. Up next, the Lady Indians host Sussex on Tuesday, April 21, at 4:30 p.m.
