Dukes win make-up tennis match

On Monday, the Windsor High School boys tennis team returned to action with a 6-3 win against Bruton High School. The match had been rescheduled from March 18.

Ethan Bales started off the winning for Windsor on the No. 2 court, defeating Dylan Shannon 6-1, 6-1. In singles, Derek Klausmeier also picked up a straight set win.

Windsor’s Stephen Hurst and Lucas Cussick picked up wins in the tiebreaker round. Hurst won 3-6, 6-3 (10-2) and Cussick on the No. 5 court won 3-6, 6-4 (11-9).

Daniel and Derek Klausmeier won in doubles on the No. 1 court, 8-3. The team of Bales and Hurst also picked up an 8-2 win in doubles.

The Dukes (2-1) will next be in action on Wednesday, April 22, when they host the Southampton High School Indians.
