On Thursday, the Southampton Lady Indians will face the Surry Lady Cougars in the final regular season VHSL volleyball game, which will also be senior night. The Indians are 10-6 headed into this week, and are looking to make a strong push headed into the Conference 25 tournament.

“It is a very talented conference but we are preparing to play hard and hopeful to extend our season past the conference play,” said Head Coach Amy Davis.

The Indians will also play at Franklin tonight, with JV starting at 5:30 p.m.

This past Thursday, the Indians played Sussex and won in straight sets, 25-7, 25-8 and 25-7.

Eve Robertson had 7 kills and 1 ace; Marissa Haydu had 5 aces; Morgan Bunn had 4 kills and 1 ace; Courtney Vinson had 6 assists and 3 aces; Danielle Moore had 3 aces, 4 assists and 1 kill; Sarah Williams had 2 aces, 2 assists and 4 kills.

This match was fresh off of an Oct. 22 loss to Park View in a Conference 25 match. The Indians lost in straight sets, 20-25, 20-25, and 14-25. Eve Robertson had 5 kills and 2 aces; Jenna Billups had 6 kills, 1 ace and 1 save; Emma Drake had 5 kills, 2 blocks, 1 dig and 1 ace.

On Thursday, Oct. 16, the Lady Indians defeated the Greensville Lady Eagles in straight sets 25-12, 25-21 and 25-13. Emma Drake had 12 kills and 4 aces; Sarah Williams had 7 kills, Danielle Moore had 12 assists, 5 kills and 2 aces; Courtney Vinson had 8 assists; Peyton Bunn had 1 save and 2 digs.

So far this season, Eve Robertson has 14 aces and 100 kills; Jenna Billups has 104 assists and 26 kills; Emma Drake has 41 aces, 8 blocks and 75 kills; and Peyton Bunn has 12 digs and 5 saves.
