Lady Raiders drop two this past week

COURTLAND
On Tuesday, Oct. 14, Southampton Academy faced off in a conference match against Kenston Forest School. They lost in straight sets, 19-25, 16-25 and 20-25.

Chelsea Beltrami, Haley Drewry, Mason Pope and Rachael Hopkins were 100 percent serving.

Pope had 12 digs, 2 kills and 1 block. Jordan Marks had 5 kills and a .308 hitting percentage

On Thursday, Oct. 16, the Lady Raiders took to the road for another conference match, but the home team, Richmond Christian School, pulled off the victory in straight sets. SA lost 23-25, 20-25 and 5-25.

Haley Drewry and Mason Pope were 100 percent serving, each with 2 aces each

Mason Pope had 6 digs, 2 kills and 3 blocks. Sarah Best had 1 ace and 2 blocks

Their last game of the season will be at home against Tidewater Academy for a conference match on the Lady Raiders’ Senior Night, starting at 6 p.m.

As of Tuesday, SA is No. 3 in the conference and ranks No. 10 (tied) in the state.
