Coby Williams of the Indians of Southampton High School is Western Tidewater’s Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 13.
On Friday night on the road against the Greensville Eagles in their homecoming matchup, Southampton’s Williams had 4 touchdowns and ran the ball 24 times for a total of 231 yards.
The Indians ended up spoiling the Eagles’ homecoming game by defeating them 44-28 in the VHSL out-of-conference TriRivers District football match.
Williams averaged 9 yards per carry in the win.
