Brunswick High School came into Friday night’s VHSL Division 2A out of conference matchup against Windsor High School averaging 6 points per game, while Windsor was averaging 27. However, the Dukes couldn’t stop Treven Easter and the Bulldogs rushing game, as they put together 420 yards on 35 carries and shutout the Dukes 48-0.

Windsor was only able to put together 85 total yards, all of them on the ground. Penalties were more of a problem for Brunswick, as they had 6 of them for 70 yards, while Windsor’s 4 penalties netted them 20 yards. Windsor had 7 first downs, while Brunswick had 12.

In the first quarter, Brunswick struck at 8:45 on an Isreal Reavis 8-yard run, however, the kick was blocked by Windsor, and that score would hold until the second.

During the second, Treven Easter got his first of 5 touchdowns of the game, from 13 yards out, and Michael Wood cleaned up the score with a 2 point conversion, making it 14-0. Easter struck again with 42 seconds left in the quarter on a 20-yard run, and after the Darren Owens PAT, the score was 21-0 and that held until the half.

In the third quarter, the Bulldogs added 3, as the running clock was set into motion. One more was scored in the fourth and the PAT missed.

The Dukes fall to 2-2, while Brunswick improves to 1-3.
