Future cheerleaders, football players enjoy youth camp

WINDSOR—The Windsor High School cheerleaders and football team had a successful pair of Youth Camps on July 7-9.

More than 40 girls participated in the cheerleading camp this past weekend at Windsor High School. The girls learned cheers, dances and performed in front of people. They will be able to cheer with the varsity squad at football games this fall. -- SUBMITTED

Forty-one girls participated in the cheering camp. They learned cheers, decorated megaphones and performed dances. They will be able to cheer with the varsity squad at a football game this fall. The varsity squad is coached by Dawn Carroll.

The football team sponsored its first Youth Camp, and the school hopes it continues to grow in the future. Eight young men from ages 4 to 10 learned plays and practiced fundamentals. At the conclusion of the three-day camp, two teams scrimmaged for the parents.

The score was a tie, and the boys really enjoyed it. The varsity football coach is Chuck Parrish.
