Franklin Parks & Rec to put on youth soccer league

FRANKLIN—The Franklin Department of Parks and Recreation is gearing up to put on its youth soccer league in July.

The program is for boys and girls, ages 4-6 for boys and 4-7 for girls. The cost is $10 per child. There are six games in the season and participants will receive a jersey.

Sign ups and team placement will take place on Tuesday, July 1, at the Armory Field Complex on Armory Drive at 6:30 p.m. Early sign-ups are advised, and those forms can be obtained at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center on Oak Street.

The first game will be on Tuesday, July 15. Parents will be responsible for soccer socks and shin guards.
