Windsor Boys Tennis gets win against ARGS

WINDSOR—In its first game after spring break, the Windsor High School boys tennis team came out big, defeating Appomattox Regional Governor’s School at home on Tuesday by a final score of 8-1.

The only win of the day for ARGS came on the No. 1 court, where Nathan Salle defeated Kyle Hollowell. Hollowell won the first set 6-4, but Salle picked up the second and third sets 6-3 and 7-5.The rest of the match was all Windsor.

Daniel Klausmeier defeated Andre Tolleris in straight sets at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-3.

On the No. 3 court, Ethan Bales defeated Brenton Baugh 6-2, 6-2.Derek Klausmeier shut out John Ware in No. 4 singles 6-0, 6-0. No. 5 seed Stephen Hurst defeated Gavin Coleman 6-3, 7-6 (11-9 in tiebreaker).

On the No. 6 court, Alec Kiser defeated Adam Black 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles, the team of Hollowell and Kiser defeated Salle and Tolleris 8-2 at the No. 1 spot. Daniel and Derek Klausmeier defeated Baugh and Black 8-1 at the No. 2 spot. Bales and Hurst shut out Ware and Coleman 8-0.

The Dukes’ overall record is 4-1.
