Raiders improve to 15-1

COURTLAND—The Southampton Academy Raiders won 10-0 against Tidewater Academy on Thursday by sharp pitching, aggressive base running, good hitting and solid defense.

Jacob Holland wins his 6th game of the year with a 3-hit shutout. SA scored 10 runs on 11 hits.

Holland and Matt Rose led the offense with 2 hits each and both blasted a 3-run homeruns. Their 4 hits accounted for 8 RBIs, but all starters contributed to the offense for the day.

Tidewater Academy was led by Daniel McKenney with 2 hits and Hunter Buhls with 1 hit. The winning pitcher was Jacob Holland and the loss went to Hunter Buhls.

SA Raiders are 15-1 overall, 9-0 in the conference and are ranked first place in the state for the 2nd week in a row.

SA will also travel to Tarboro, N.C., this week to compete in an Easter tournament.
