On Wednesday, the Raiders traveled to VCC rival Brunswick Academy. The first half remained tied 0-0 with a number of missed opportunities. In the second half, sophomore Seth Edwards scored his first goal of the season off a header on a corner kick from freshman Emery Weist, giving the Raiders a 1-0 lead.

Near the end of the second half, freshman Roy Hill finished thru-ball from junior Colby Blythe to secure the 2-0 lead. This was Hill’s first goal as a Raider.

On Thursday night, the Raiders hosted Blessed Sacrament Huguenot. BSH took a 1-0 lead on a mishandled corner kick, but the Raiders responded just before half on a Colby Blythe goal to tie the game at 1-1. In the second half it was all BSH. They scored 3 goals. Senior Alec Lippe scored near the end of the game, but the Raiders ultimately lost 4-2.

Next week’s games include a home match against Fuqua School Monday at 4 p.m., and then the Raiders travel to Fuqua on Thursday.
