COURTLAND—The Raider Varsity soccer team has won two games this past week, defeating Alliance Christian Academy 12-1 on March 14, and beating VCC Conference opponent Kenston Forest School 6-2 Friday. Senior Johnny Tribbett scored 4 goals in each match, bringing his total in three games to 12 goals.

Kenston Forest scored first on a break-away goal, but Tribbett answered on a direct kick from 24 yards out, bending it around the Cavalier wall into the near post net.

The second goal Tribbett scored on an assist from freshman Emery Weist, who had four assists on the night. Tribbett would get two more goals and senior Alec Lippe scored the other two for the Raiders. Kenston Forest scored in the closing seconds on a penalty kick making the total 6-2.

It was an exciting match and the 2-1 Raiders got their first VCC win of the season.

The JV Raiders Soccer team lost to Rock Church School 3-1 last Friday and tied Kenston Forest 4-4 Friday.

Eighth-grader Will Belmonte got a hat trick and Mitchell Owens scored one goal.
