SA baseball opens 3-0; scoring 50 runs

COURTLAND—Southampton Academy opened the season with 3 wins.
In the first game of the season on Tuesday, the Raiders put up 30 runs in a win against Brunswick Academy. Tonee Hill was the winning pitcher in a game that only had one run.
On Thursday, the Raiders played at home against Fuqua School and won 10-0 in 6 innings. The winning pitcher was Brynner Porter.
SA closed the week out Friday with a 10-0 win in 5 innings at home against Isle of Wight Academy. The winning pitcher was Jake Holland.
Raiders have had a stellar opening week of pitching, good defense, and timely hitting, said coaches.
SA was scheduled to travel to Portsmouth Christian School on Monday for a game at 4:30 p.m., but that was rescheduled due to weather.
On Tuesday the Raiders played Kenston Forest on the road at 4:30 p.m.
