Windsor takes first round against Maggie Walker

RICHMOND—The Windsor Dukes defeated the Maggie Walker Governor’s School Dragons 48-38 on Tuesday.

With this win, Windsor finished third in the conference playoffs and earned the a berth in the regional playoffs.

On Thursday night, before deadline, the Dukes would take on Bruton in the semi-finals.

They will go on to play Tuesday in the regional playoff against a to be determined opponent.

Donovan Cosbert led all scorers with 20 points. He had 2 steals, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.

Malcolm Greene scored15 points, and he also had 3 blocks and 10 rebounds. Greene’s scoring included a dunk.

Justice Chapman scored his 1,000th career point, and he now has 1,002 points over his career.

Austin McCaskey shut down their leading scorer, who was averaging 28 points a game. Chris Funai, Quinten Winnegan, Chad McCann, Philip Carr, Keshawn Reid and the rest of the team made great contributions for this win, said Windsor coach Brandon Bossick.
