Isle of Wight comes up short against Atlantic Shores

CHESAPEAKE—Isle of Wight Academy was outgunned by Atlantic Shores Christian School 75-25 Saturday night.

No Chargers scored in double figures in a game that saw the Seahawks rush out to a 16-0 lead in the first 5:38 of the opening quarter. Atlantic Shores, without leading scorer Aaron Ferguson (12.4 ppg), got 22 points from Isaiah Cotton and 14 from Shawn Coleman. The Chargers’ 25 points is their lowest output this year. Due to weather cancellations, they were playing only their second game in two weeks. IWA dropped its 13th contest in 17 games this year and is 2-8 in the Metro Athletic Conference. Shores ran its record to 12-9, 8-2.
