WAKEFIELD—On Dec. 27, Tidewater Academy defeated Stonebridge 68-22 at home.

Elanté Drew led the Warriors with 19 points. Daniel McKenney and Marty Gura were close behind with 16 and 15 respectively.

Wakefield came out in the first quarter scoring 21 points, with McKenney scoring 12 of those points off of four made 3-point baskets. The Warriors held the Cavaliers to 7 points.

By halftime, the Warriors were up 41-13. Gura added 11 points in the quarter, including a made free throw attempt.

At the end of the third quarter, the score was 58-16 in favor of the Warriors, who had held the Cavaliers to only 3 points in the quarter. Benji Goodrich and Payton Holdsworth both hit 3-point baskets.

The Warriors scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, while the Cavaliers scored 6 points.

Tidewater Academy, which improved to 10-1, will next face Richmond Christian at home on Jan. 7.
