Schilling-Turner

Catherine Michele Schilling and Josh Tyler Turner, both of Richmond, were married at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, in the First Presbyterian Church, Richmond. The Rev. Jeremy Cannada and Dr. Charles A. Summers officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Tom and Mickey Schilling of Milton, Ga., and formerly of Hilton Head Island, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Kendall and Latrelle Todd of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Betty J. Schilling of Boca Raton, Fla., and Bluffton, S.C., and the late Dr. Fred Schilling. She is the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Morene Sheriff of Eastanollee, Ga.

The bride attended Hilton Head High School, and graduated from The Wesleyan School in Norcross, Ga. She is a graduate of Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C., where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in religion. She received a Masters of Divinity degree from Union Presbyterian Seminary and a Masters of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, both in Richmond.

She is employed as a Mental Health Clinician by Chesterfield County Community Corrections.

The groom is the son of Harrell and Cynthia Turner of Branchville. He is the grandson of Mrs. Doris Turner and the late Peyton Turner, and Mrs. Edith Grizzard and the late Victor Grizzard, all of Southampton County.

The groom is a graduate of Southampton High School in Courtland. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in wood science from Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg.

He is employed as a manager with Lowe’s Home Improvement Store in Richmond.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Tom Schilling. The wedding attendants were Shannon Strodel Crosby of Macon, Ga., matron of honor; Kelly Wilder Turner of Branchville, bridesmaid and sister-in-law of the groom. Billy Schilling, of Bluffton, S.C, cousin of the bride, and Walton Crosby, of Macon, were bros-maids.

The groom’s brother, Mark Turner of Branchville, served as best man. The groomsmen were Ryan Turner of San Diego, Calif., brother of the groom, Jackson Schilling of Milton, Ga., brother of the bride, and Rusty Bradshaw of Branchville, the groom’s childhood friend.

The ceremony music was provided by organist Suzanne Riehl. The wedding reception immediately followed in the West Ballroom at The Country Club of Virginia, Richmond. The evening entertainment was provided by The Jangling Reinharts.

The newlyweds took a brief honeymoon to the Chesapeake Bay area and are planning an extended honeymoon to Alaska this summer. They now reside in Richmond.
