SHS baseball moves to 6-0

The Indians were able to improve their record to (6-0)(5-0) this week. The Indians defeated Brunswick High School 12 – 2 on Tuesday behind the pitching of Dillon Hasty and Josh Riddick. The Indians scored all twelve runs in the first three innings off of 5 hits and 4 Bulldog errors.

Thursday the Indians were able to defeat the Prince Edward Eagles 12 – 3. Southampton was able to out hit Prince Edward by a count of 17 to 4. The Indians had a strong pitching performance by Mason Wright who struck out five in four innings to gain his first win of the season. Hayden Spalding led the day offensively with two singles, a double, and a triple that accounted for two runs batted in and three runs scored. Spalding also had two stolen bases. Other Indians that had multiple hits included Jake Pope, Jack Bunn, and Cecil Lowe.
