WAKEFIELD—The Tidewater Academy girls’ basketball team will host Southampton Academy at 7 p.m. on Feb. 26 for the first round of the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division III State Tournament.

The Lady Warriors, 20-8, come into the tournament as the No. 6 seed after a tough 51-49 loss to Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot in the semifinal round of the Virginia Commonwealth Conference Friday. The Lady Raiders, 12-13, come in as the 11-seed after a 75-34 loss to Amelia Academy in the VCC semifinal.
