WAKEFIELD—The No. 3-ranked Tidewater Academy boys’ basketball team on Tuesday advanced to the Virginia Commonwealth Conference semifinals after defeating No. 6 Blessed Sacrament Huguenot 57-32.

The Warriors will play No. 2-ranked Fuqua School at 8:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at Richard Bland College.

Against Blessed Sacrament senior Hunter Haywood led with 19 points and eight rebounds. Payton Holdsworth and Elante Drew scored 10 points each.

Tidewater is 18-8 on the season.
