Amanda Kate Griffin and Viktor Franz Polivka were married in a private ceremony on Dec. 29 at Chestnut Hill Bed and Breakfast in Orange, with Marriage Commissioner Don Hughes officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Ricky and Cindy Darden of Sedley and Ronny and Annie Griffin of Newsoms. She is the maternal granddaughter of Phyllis and Victor Walker of Ivor and the late J.M. Harver, and the paternal granddaughter of the late Frank and Virginia Griffin.

The groom is the son of Jeff Blakeley Sr. of Kerrville, Texas, and the late Debbie Blakeley.

The new Mrs. Polivka is a graduate of Old Dominion University, where she works in student affairs.

Her husband is in the Army.

The couple will be moving to San Antonio in the spring.
