Jenkins scores 17 in SHS win

SUSSEX—Southampton High School junior Talisha Jenkins scored 17 points during the Lady Indians’ come-from-behind 37-36 win over non-district host Sussex Central on Tuesday.

Sussex led 16-9 at the end of first quarter, 21-15 at the half and 28-24 going into the final quarter. The Lady Indians outscored that Lady Tigers 13-8 in the fourth quarter.

Junior Brittney Johnson scored 8 points for Southampton.

The Lady Indians will host Windsor today, Jan. 16, and Prince George on Friday, Jan. 18. The junior varsity games start at 5:30 p.m. followed by the varsity.
