Lady Warriors drop first conference game

WAKEFIELD—The Tidewater Academy girls’ basketball team had its first conference loss of the season after falling 71-32 to Virginia Commonwealth Conference opponent Amelia Academy on Monday.

The Lady Warriors fell to 9-4 overall and 4-1 in the VCC.

Senior Cary Beahm led the Lady Warriors with 17 points, while sophomore Taylor Pruitt added 9. Beahm led TA in rebounds with six, and Pruitt had three steals.

The Lady Warriors will host Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot for a VCC game at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10.
