Beahm named MVP after TA takes tournament title

WAKEFIELD—Tidewater Christmas Tournament Most Valuable Player Cary Beahm netted 22 points to help the Lady Warriors win the tournament after defeating Isle of Wight Academy 48-22 Thursday.
The Lady Warriors improved to 8-3 overall.
Beahm led with 9 rebounds. Senior Falon Willams scored 9 points and senior Taylor Pruitt added 6.
Gabriella Hooper led the Lady Chargers with 8 points and Dianne Davis added 6.
The Lady Warriors will next travel to Fuqua School for a 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, Virginia Commonwealth Conference match-up.
The Lady Chargers will host Broadwater Academy at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 3 for a Metro Athletic Conference game.
