THE PLAINS—Isle of Wight Academy defeated Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate 60-57 Saturday to sweep the Life and Breath Tournament at Wakefield School.

The Chargers improved to 6-1 overall.

Tied with 35 seconds left in the game, senior Austin Rogers stole the ball and made a lay-up and was fouled with 2.5 seconds remaining.

Rogers led the Chargers with 20 points, senior Hunter Triplett had 17 points and sophomore Casey Williams added 10.

In action from Friday, IWA defeated Wakefield School 61-48 in the tournament opener.

Senior Rainer Marfio and Triplett had 16 points apiece, and Williams added 15.
