SURRY—The Tidewater Academy volleyball team swept Surry in a non-conference match Monday.

The Lady Warriors won 25-8, 25-10 and 25-9.

“Senior leadership is stepping up, and we’re going to need that as we prepare to play through a tough stretch of four games, three of which are (Virginia Commonwealth Conference) matches,” said Coach Jimmy Dunn.

Senior Tyler Stephenson made 15 assists and had six aces while classmates Falon Williams made 10 kills and four aces and Cary Beahm had seven kills and three aces.

TA takes on VCC foe Kenston Forest at 6 p.m. today, Sept. 18, in Blackstone.
