Bruck picks up third win for Southampton High

COURTLAND—Southampton High School senior Tabbitha Bruck picked up her third win of the season during Wednesday’s home Southside District cross country meet.

Bruck finished the run in 23:02.

The Park View girls took first overall with 26 points. Southampton followed with 33, Franklin 100 and Greensville 103.

For the boys’ teams, Greensville won with 29 points followed by Southampton 32, Prince Edward 95, Park View 108 and Franklin 131.

Other top finishers were freshman Jessica Fox (S) sixth overall, 26:23; freshman Mary Hudgins (S) seventh 26:42; eighth-grader Summer Winston (F) eighth, 27:15; junior Kelsey Thomas (S) ninth, 27:52; freshman Sarah Giorgi (S) 10th, 28:13; eighth-grader Vanessa Stone (F) 11th, 28:21; junior Holley Moore (S) 11th, 28:27; junior Amber Gurganus (S) 16th, 31:05; sophomore Madison Busby (F) 18th, 31:40; freshman Jayla Cross (F) 19th, 32:07; and eighth-grader Erin Karmilovich (F) 20th.

Top finishers for the boys were senior Daniel Lowdermilk (S) second overall, 20:01; junior Kevin Watford (S) fourth, 20:52; sophomore Forrest South (S) fifth, 20:59; freshman Cole Jarratt (S) seventh, 21:07; sophomore Enoch Westover (S) 14th, 22:48; senior Alex Dunlow (S) 15th, 23:04; junior Kyle Smith (F) 16th, 23:24; and sophomore Devon Hacker (S) 19th, 24:02.
