Windsor coach picks up 100th win

EASTVILLE—The Windsor volleyball team on Thursday picked up its 100th win since Coach Jeff Burchette took over after sweeping Northampton 25-10, 25-23 and 25-20 in a non-district match.

The team has lost 22 matches during the same period.

Windsor improved to 2-1 on the season; the team’s loss was to Matthews, last year’s state champions. The Lady Dukes had all of last year’s players return.

Leaders on the night were junior Jessica Blythe with 15 assists, sophomore Kellie Mathews with 6 kills and 2 blocks, and junior Allison Griggs with 5 digs, 5 aces and 2 kills. Junior MaCayla Sevais was 14-for-15 on serves and had 5 digs.
