COURTLAND—Southampton High School goalie David Strozier had 16 saves during the Indians’ 6-1 Southside District loss to Prince Edward on Wednesday.

“We played in the rain and it was a sloppy game,” said Southampton Coach Scott Edwards. “We went down early and couldn’t catch up. They scored three goals in the first half before we scored. We gave up three more in the second half while trying to get more players forward to score goals to catch up.”

Johnny Tribbett had the lone goal for the Indians off a cross from Aaron Turner.

Tribbett has scored in all nine games he has played in this season. He has 13 goals and six assists.

Southampton will place third in the district.
