COURTLAND – Southampton Academy’s Matt Nixon went 4-for-4 in a 12-1 win over First Baptist Christian.

Nixon scored twice and produced one RBI.

The Raiders are ranked No. 1 in the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division 3 baseball poll at 15-3 overall.

Tonee Hill, Wesley Barnes and Jacob Holland each went 2-for-3. Hill scored two runs and had three RBIs.

Barnes gave up two hits in four innings before being relieved by Brenner Porter.

The Raiders played Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Thursday. Results were not available as of press time.
