Hasty winning pitcher for SHS

COURTLAND—Dillon Hasty recorded his second win of the season Monday as Southampton High School defeated Sussex 11-1 in six innings.

Hasty threw five innings while tossing nine strikeouts, giving up one run and allowing one hit in the non-conference home game.

Tanner Winters led the way offensively going 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and a double to right center. He tallied four RBIs and scored three runs.

Hasty helped his own cause going 2-for-5 with a single and double, and three RBIs.

Austin Pierce was 2-for-2 with an RBI. Brandon Knight tallied three walks and single.

The Indians tallied nine hits and committed one error. The Tigers made four errors.
