ISLE OF WIGHT—Senior goalie Thomas Taylor had 14 saves in Southampton Academy’s 4-0 loss Thursday to Isle of Wight Academy.

Taylor’s performance resulted in a scoreless tie at halftime, but IWA scored early in the second half, which shifted the momentum toward the Chargers.

“Our keeper made some spectacular saves,” said Coach Jamie Weist.

SA lost 4-1 in junior-varsity action with seventh-grader Emery Weist scoring the team’s goal.

At 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, the Raiders will host Brunswick Academy and

Tidewater Academy will host Kenston Forest.
