Triplett hits three doubles in IWA win

ISLE OF WIGHT—Isle of Wight Academy’s Hunter Triplett hit three doubles for four RBIs and scored three runs to lead the Chargers to a 21-2, five-inning win over Kenston Forest on Wednesday.

Host IWA improved to 12-3 and Kenston dropped to 3-7.

Travis Jones gave up six hits in the win. Outfielder Matthew Herrmann went 3-for-3, scoring three runs and driving in two.

The Kavaliers did not score until the fifth inning on an unearned run.

In action from Tuesday, IWA defeated Windsor 12-2. The Charges led 11-0 going into the fifth and final inning.

Josh Thomas led IWA with three hits, including two doubles and two RBIs. Triplett, Logan Wright, Evan Chappell and Rainer Marfio had two hits each. Aaron Flanagan had a double and Wright added a triple.
