SA baseball moves to 5-2 with win

COURTLAND – Southampton Academy beat Alliance Christian 7-3 Saturday to improve to 5-2 on the year.

Raider pitcher Jacob Holland struck out six batters in five innings. Holland gave up four hits and two runs in the win. The pitcher helped his own cause by going two-for-three in the game with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored.

The Raiders’ Matt Nixon went two-for-four at the plate with an RBI and a run scored, Carson Camp went one-for-three with an RBI and a run scored in the win.

SA’s Wesley Barnes went one-for-two and scored two runs while teammate Ethan Edwards went one-for-three and scored a run.

Southampton Academy takes on Blessed Sacrament at 4:30 p.m. today in Courtland.
