IWA beats Hampton Christian 20-7

ISLE OF WIGHT—Hunter Triplett was four-for-five with two RBIs as the Isle of Wight Academy baseball team closed out Hampton Christian 20-7 Monday.

The Chargers’ leadoff man hits three singles and a double, and scored four runs as IWA ran its record to 6-2 and 2-0 in the Metro Athletic Conference.

Logan Wright limited Hampton to four runs in three innings of work, striking out five warriors.

Hampton Christian’s Austin Fields hit two home runs and drove in five runs. He was the losing pitcher.

IWA’s Aaron Flanagan was two-for-four with three RBIs and was among eight Chargers to collect two or more hits.
