Fuqua won with 200 followed by Kenston Forest 211, Brunswick Academy 231 and SA 234.

Seventh-graders Zach Hill and Daniel Matthews led SA with scores of 58 and 59, respectively, on the nine-hole, par-36 course.

“This team is young,” said SA Coach David Gibbs. “It consists of four juniors, three of which have experience, and the rest of the golf team consists of two seventh-graders and an eighth-grader. Prior to Tuesday, they had never been in a match before.”

The Raiders lost nine seniors from last year’s team.

“It’s kind of a rebuilding year, the potential is there,” Gibbs said.

The Raiders at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, will travel to Brunswick Academy’s home course.
