TA moves to second round of VCC Tournament

WAKEFIELD—The Tidewater Academy girls’ basketball team will move on to the second round of the Virginia Commonwealth Conference Tournament with a 49-32 win over Kenston Forest Monday.

Cary Beahm scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the win. Teammate Taylor Pruitt added 14 points and Hannah Taylor added 10. Falon Williams collected seven rebounds.

The Lady Warriors will play the winner of the Southampton Academy and Fuqua game at 4:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at Richmond Bland College in the semifinals.
