Sara Beth Story and Alvin Thomas Hedgepeth were married at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Sycamore Baptist Church in Franklin.

Dr. Roger D. Crump, pastor of Sycamore Baptist Church, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Janet and Glenn Joyner of Carrsville. She is the granddaughter of Peggy Mulder and Rubin Story, both of Franklin, and the late Ruben “Jake” Mulder Jr. and Nell Story.
The groom is the son of James and Priscilla Hedgepeth of Conway, N.C. He is the grandson of the late Alvin and Dorothy Bridges and the late James and Pat Hedgepeth.
The bride was escorted by her stepfather and given in marriage by her mother and stepfather.
Wendy McCourry and Carolyn Bunn, both aunts of the bride, were mistresses of ceremonies.
Ashley Story and Lauren Story served as their sister’s maids of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jennifer Joyner, cousin of the bride; Samantha Hedgepeth, sister of the groom; and Jenny Hedgepeth, sister-in-law of the groom.
The flower girls were Chloe Bunn, cousin of the bride; and Reagan Howell, family friend of the groom.
The groom’s father was the best man.
Groomsmen were James Hedgepeth Jr., brother of the groom; Brian Cross, cousin of the bride; and Jason Howell and Blake Sumner, friends of the groom.
Ushers were Taylor Joyner, stepbrother of the bride; and Lance Morgan Jr., family friend of the bride.
The ring bearer was Ryan O’Neal, family friend of the bride.
The program and guest book attendant was Meghan Shoaf, sister of the groom.
A reception was held at Southampton Agricultural Center.
Reception greeters were Renee Wrenn and Carol Jones, family friends of the bride.
The couple will live in Murfreesboro, N.C.

couple’s honor
On June 18, an engagement party was given by the bride’s family at the home of Carolyn and Bryant Bunn.
On Oct. 1, a tea party was given by Wendy McCourry and Marilyn Ray, both aunts of the bride, at Old English Tea Room.
On Oct. 23, a bridal shower was given by Ashley Story, Jennifer Joyner, Samantha Hedgepeth, Jenny Hedgepeth, Carol Jones and Renee Wrenn.
On Nov. 12, a Christmas shower was hosted by Lauren Story and Jennifer Joyner.
A couple’s shower was given on Nov. 26 by Wanda and Chuck Brothers.
On Dec. 6, a bridal shower was given by the groom’s friends of Conway.
A rehearsal dinner was given by the groom’s parents.
