Southampton wrestlers place second in Franklin tournament

FRANKLIN—Three Southampton High School wrestlers went undefeated to lead the Indians to a second-place finish during the MBM Duals at Franklin High School on Saturday.

Posting a 5-0 record were SaQuan Fenner in the 120-pound class, Paul Long in 126-pound class and Devine Fenner in the 132-pound class. Other leaders were Tim Mason, who went 4-1 in the 138-pound class, and Frank LeMat, 4-1 in 145-pound class.

Posting a 3-2 record were Daquan Cotton in the 152-pound class, Charlie Skeete in the 170-pound class and Kamonta Blunt in the heavyweight class.

From Franklin, going 3-1 were senior Emmanuel Ricks in the 195-pound class and junior Xavier Freeman in the 126-pound class.

King William won the tournament, posting a team score of 5-0. Southampton went 4-1 and Franklin, 2-2.
