PORTSMOUTH—Nathan Silvertson’s 20 points and 11 rebounds helped Isle of Wight Academy beat Alliance Christian 60-44 Monday night.

Josh Thomas added 10 points and four rebounds in the win as IWA improved to 10-4 overall and 5-2 in the Metro Athletic Conference.

The Chargers’ Rainer Marfio had six points and nine rebounds.

IWA trailed 16-15 at the end of the first quarter, but took off in the second quarter as Thomas scored six of his 10 points. Three-pointers by Austin Rogers and Michael McGuire helped IWA take an 11-point lead into the half.

The Chargers face Hampton Christian at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, in Isle of Wight.
