SMITHFIELD—Smithfield girls on Monday night defeated Southampton High School 69-13 in a non-district game.

Host Smithfield led 23-0 at the end of the first quarter and 40-2 at the half. Smithfield extended its lead to 56-9 in the third quarter.

In action from Friday, the Lady Indians lost 62-35 to host Northampton.

Kelcee Brown led Southampton with 11 points and TaLisha Jenkins added 10.

K. Weber scored a game-high 19 for Northampton and teammate K. Williams added 14.

Northampton opened with a 14-8 first-quarter lead. Both teams scored 17 in the second quarter. In the second half, Northampton outscored Southampton 31-10.
