Windsor girls lose 53-25 to Sussex

WINDSOR—Windsor girls’ basketball team lost 53-25 to Sussex during a Friday Tri-Rivers District match.
Lady Dukes Tierra Rawls and Kelsey Searcy led with 5 points each in the loss; both made one three-pointer.
“We got off to a slow start,” said Windsor Coach Chuck Parrish. “We were down 20-2 in the first quarter, but our young ladies played hard all night. We played with great effort and never gave up.”
The Lady Dukes went 9-for-15 from the foul line.
Windsor is 1-9 overall and 0-3 in the district.
Windsor will travel to Franklin for a 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, district game.
